Overijssel Vakantiepark ’t Akkertien op de Voorst lies on the edge of Vollenhove, in the north-western region of the Overijssel province. If you’re up for some water activities then there are plenty of possibilities. The park grounds border the water. One can go fish, surf, row, kanoo, sail and swim. For cyclists the whole area is divided by nodes which can be used to create your own routes. There is a marina/yach club 400m down the road for sailing needs.
Nearby you can find lots of old historical villages and cities like Blokzijl, Giethoorn, Belt-schutsloot, Jonen en Dwarsgracht. For the nature loving hikers there are national parks like De Wieden and De Weerribben.
